If you’ve ever dreamed of learning to fly, then gliding is the sport for you. Not only is gliding one of the more affordable forms of sports aviation, it is one of the most challenging. So come and learn to soar with the eagles at the Darling Downs Soaring Club.
We conduct a range of courses using sleek modern fibreglass two seat gliders and instruction is provided by fully trained Gliding Federation of Australia instructors. All courses include aerotow launches, glider hire and free instruction.
Courses dates are available in the club calendar. Short courses can be arranged over a suitable weekend please contact us to book.

Short Course
4 glider flights at DDSC covering the basics of flight. Includes Log book and training card & DDSC bucket hat.

Flying Start & Beyond
50 launches to take you from beginner, to solo, and to start your journey to cross country pilot. Includes 12 months membership to DDSC, 7 days accommodation, Log Book

The Solo Quest course is designed to train students towards achieving solo flight by the end of the course. This will depend on several factors, for example, the weather, your personal aptitude and previous flying experience. For these reasons solo flight can not be guaranteed at the end of the course.
